DBQ Quiz One – Wednesday, December 16th

- Why was the Agora important? It was where people met to discuss politics.
- What was another name for the Agora? It was also called the market.
2. The Boule
- How were people chosen to be a part of the Boule and how many people were chosen? People were chosen by draw and 500 people were chosen.
- What is another name for the Boule? It was also called the Council of Athens.
3. The Assembly
- How were people chosen to be part of the Assembly? All men that paid taxes (most men) took part in the Assembly.
- How was decision making done in Athens? First they voted on issues in the Boule, then sent it to the Assembly to be voted on.
