I believe it is my job as an educator to lead my students by example in becoming active and engaged learners in the classroom. I also try to instill a sense of curiosity in my students so that they strive to be life long learners and realize that learning doesn’t stop when they leave the classroom. 

​I think it is important that my students be full participants in their learning journey. I believe in the power of collaboration and that students don’t just learn from the teacher, but also from each other. I am also a firm believer in the use of technology in the classroom to help engage and differentiate for my students and to allow them to show their learning in creative ways. Using technology in the classroom also helps better prepare students for the technological world in which they live.
